Anita Kapila was recently nominated for a 2018 CSA in the BEST WRITING IN A COMEDY SERIES category. She has been Co-Executive Producer on the last two seasons of Kim’s Comvenience and joins them again this year for a third. Her other live action credits include Mr. D and How to be Indie. She is also an accomplished animation writer and has worked on Rusty Rivets, Doki, Camp Lakebottom and Little Charmers. Anita is a multiple WGC Screenwriting Award winner and nominee.
Susan Coyne is renowned as the co-creator and co-writer of the internationally acclaimed mini-series Slings and Arrows, for which she won three Geminis and three Writers Guild of Canada awards. A Brazilian adaptation, Som é Furia, was nominated for an international Emmy. Susan recently wrapped her second season, as a Supervising Producer, on Amazon Studios’s Golden Globe-winning series Mozart in the Jungle. Susan has three series in development in Canada that she will write and executive produce, including at CBC, Boat Rocker Media/Temple Street, and eOne. She also wrote two of the three Anne of Green Gables MOWs produced by Breakthrough and YTV. She also has a distinguished career as an actress, having recently appeared in The Realistic Joneses by Will Eno, directed by Richard Rose, at the Tarragon Theatre.
Kevin White is one of the top comedy writers in Canada and is a multiple award nominee and winner. He just completed showrunning the 3rd season of his KIM’S CONVENIENCE for CBC. Previously he had also served as the head writer of SCHITTS CREEK for 2 seasons. He is also the creator and showrunner of INSECURITY and DAN FOR MAYOR.
Garry Campbell attended comedy high school with the very talented folks who went on to become “The Kids in the Hall”. Garry was a writer on that show before moving down to Los Angeles to write on the MTV Movie Awards (three consecutive years) while also becoming head writer and co-executive producer on MadTV (six years). He then moved on to be head writer and an executive producer on several other U.S. shows including “The Jamie Kennedy Experiment” and “Blue Collar TV”. While working on these shows, Garry also found the time to have pilots in development at Fox, Comedy Central and squeezed in writing an episode of the Joss Whedon produced series, “Angel”. Since coming back to Canada, Garry has written and produced a pilot for CBC, “The Good Germany” and has written or produced (usually a combination of the two) on such acclaimed shows as “Less Than Kind”, “Todd and the Book of Pure Evil”, “The Ron James Show”, “Picnicface”, “Young Drunk Punk” and “Kim’s Convenience”. Garry is currently waiting for word on season two of his original one hour, mystery/comedy procedural, “Carter”. Garry has won multiple awards but is not averse to more.
